Fresh Taste staff facilitate opportunities for members to learn from each other and from experts in the field. At two half-day meetings each year, members compare notes about individual foundation grantmaking and what we’re seeing in the field. Staff also prepare a weekly digest of food system news to keep current on the latest developments.
Additionally, Fresh Taste members and staff work together to organize two learning journeys each year within the Chicago foodshed to deepen and expand our collective understanding of the food system. These learning journeys range from six hours to two days and provide members with the opportunity to dive deep into issues they find compelling.
